You are probably looking at that title like huh? Let me explain.
We have grown to believe that the more you are able to multitask the better you are as a person. I have found out that is not necessarily true. Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should do it. We have this control problem. If we don’t do it then it won’t be done right.
Newsflash: just because they don’t do it the way we do does not make it wrong. Take a long look at your to do list. How many things have you completed? There are somethings on your list that someone else on your team can do. Allow those who were sent to help you do just that.
You have so many things you want to do but you never want to relinquish control and then complain when you can’t do it. If you want some peace in your life, I suggest you give your team the things that will ease the load for you. Again, that is what your team is for.
